PROJECT Documentary: Bharat Nirman

Bharat Nirman DocumentaryCoSRO has produced a documentary on the efficacy of Government of India's Bharat Nirman Project.  At a cost of Rs. 80 Billion, Bharat Nirman is a business plan for building infrastructure in areas of irrigation, roads, housing, water supply, electrification and telecommunication connectivity by 2009. In order to make this programme successful it is essential that the civil society and non-government organisations offer their respective expertise to the government.

We, through our close contacts at the grassroots level, produced the documentary film of 25 minutes duration that drew the attention of people at various levels and organisations concerned with India’s development. It was screened for experts from the World Bank and UNDP. The video is now with the World Bank for their further use.
